Marquette University School of Dentistry

Marquette University is a Jesuit Catholic university in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, an hour north of Waukegan, Illinois. Tuition for Wisconsin residents is $37,000 while out-of-state students pay $46,000 as of summer 2010.

The school's curriculum centers on comprehensive patient care, where students learn to "focus on the patient's total dental needs, rather than a single clinical procedure," according to the school. Students use this philosophy in a group practice clinic, creating and implementing a comprehensive treatment plan for each patient.

Students work with scheduling and dental assistants, and collaborate with specialty disciplines. Upper-level students complete block rotations at the clinic, and also must complete assigned rotations at community clinics in under-served areas of Wisconsin.
