The first question I usually ask my potential clients is, "What keeps you from working out"? The common theme is the lack of time! Then I ask how long do you usually work out for? The answer I get is an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half. The truth is the less time you have; the easier it is to skip out on working out and stay in shape, but is a solution to this. After all getting in a good workout routine and real results only requires 30-45 minutes per work out. There is no need to drive your body into the ground just to lose a few pounds, doing so causes other complications such as joint pain, injury and fatigue. Personal Trainer Orange County
How do I know? Because I use the method I am about to explain with most of my Orange County personal training clients; work out after workout. For the novice fitness enthusiast this workout method is called High Intensity Interval Training or Circuit Training depending on how the workout routine is laid out. Most people strength train first then perform a steady jog/run that they feel provides for a great workout. Not to say this style doesn’t work, but HIIT Training or Circuit Training is more efficient and not as grueling. What if you if you take that workout which usually breaks down to a 30 minute cardio session and a 45 minute strength training work out and mash it into one energy packed, fast paced routine? Combining the strength training and cardio all into one! The answer is; a time efficient workout that produces unbeatable results and blasts calories better then a long drawn out exercise session. It will also allow for more time to enjoy your day! The “I hate cardio” phrase will disappear from your vocabulary and you will have time in your day to fit in a workout! This routine will burn just as many calories if not more than conventional cardio/strength training workouts and can be catered to any individuals needs. The basic principle behind this method is that the harder your workout, the more calories you will blast every minute. Long story short, intense bouts of exercise can improve your cardio fitness and strength equally as long drawn out routines. The downside, you have to train hard for the whole 30-45 minutes with no resting, no interruptions and you must have a concise layout to your routine. Personal Trainer Anaheim Hills
With HIT Training there is no slow progression, you start burning fat immediately at an intense pace. Even better, your metabolism stays sped up for hours after your workout. The calorie burning continues in your sleep; can't beat that!
Ask me about these circuit workouts and I will be happy to give you more information on me and my Orange County personal training. Best thing is, after our sessions you can perform these in your basement, garage or backyard. The energy and results you get are as productive as a series of hard sprints. Try one, and you'll never again think "running" when you hear the term "cardio."
My training style is based on this theory, but I add many variations in order to cater to all fitness levels
Be sure to talk to a physician before starting any type of HIT or Circuit Training Routine. Personal Trainer Orange County
